Initial Questions
My approach is documentary, candid, cinematic, and artistic. I value authenticity with my photographs and love that every person has a unique story that we get to capture together. I am fascinated with human connection and nature, so I focus on capturing that connection and creating images unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.

Of course! I think this is one thing that sets me apart as a photographer. I don’t just show up, pose you, and leave. I want to be as involved as you need or would like me to be! Now that I have experienced the stress of wedding planning, I know how difficult it can be. I will help with the wedding timeline, anything photo-related, questions on locations and lighting, what to wear, bridesmaids dress recs, vendors, anything really! I am here for you!

What is 35mm film vs medium format film photography? Why would I want this?
Film photography has captured my heart, and I think it might steal yours as well. You just cannot recreate the dreamy highlights and shadows from a film photo, that slight graininess, and the beautiful color-profile.
In short, the difference between 35mm and medium format is the sizing! 35mm film photos are smaller and can produce a bit more grain, whereas medium format can be 2-6 times bigger and is widely used by portrait photographers around the world. I would recommend 35mm for ordinary details and moments of your wedding day that might happen quickly, and medium format photos for when you can slow down and take your time– like portraits!

The process
First step– inquire through my contact page so I have you in my system. You will get an initial email from me going over what to expect, and I will try to respond back to you within 48 hours. All my pricing is custom depending on what you are wanting for your session or wedding, so we will facetime, call, or text to figure out how I can best serve you + make your dream shoot come to life! From there; sign a contract, pay the deposit fee, and you are in!

Yes! 30% of your wedding price is due up front, and the other 70% is due 1 month before the wedding. Rescheduling your wedding date is a $500 fee. For portraits, 50% of the total is due upon booking with the other 50% due 1 week before the shoot. And the rescheduling fee for a portrait session being $150.

Don’t even worry about a thing. I got you! This is my strongest suit and favorite part of shoots! I value natural prompts that guide you and help make you feel like your best and most beautiful self. The whole shoot, I am guiding you with my words, giving feedback, and making you feel relaxed and at ease so you can get photos that look and feel like you–not some weird, stiff version of yourself!

My favorite part of the process– EDITING. I can’t lie, my personal style is to always lean towards a slightly warm, filmy, nostalgic look. But I truly focus on editing the way the session felt and what kind of vibes my clients give off. I call myself a photographer for the people because I want your gallery to be everything you ever dreamed of and work closely to figure out exactly what you are wanting… and then I blow it out of the water. ;)
I also know that photographers hiring out editing is extremely popular at the moment. I will keep my thoughts on that to myself, but please know that every image is hand-edited by ME. No slapping the same preset on every photo and calling it good. I edit based on how the day felt.

The Gallery
Weddings are delivered within 4-6 weeks of your wedding date. Portrait and Couples sessions average about 1-2 weeks. Film photos take a while longer to be sent off, developed, and scanned so those can be up to 4 weeks. I try to finish galleries quickly because I know how hard it is to wait, and getting photos back from a photographer literally feels like Christmas morning! But I also hand-edit each individual photo with careful consideration to keep the gallery cohesive + the colors true to life.

It does! Everything is included within your fee. I deliver your photos through a professional online gallery system where you can download images, share on social media, send to family and friends, and order prints straight from an online store! Print releases are also always available.

It definitely varies!
For weddings, it depends on coverage, but anywhere from 600-1200. I have found that I deliver about 100 photos per hour of shooting. Example, a 6 hour wedding day might have a gallery with 500-700 photos.
For portraits, average 75+.
For seniors, average 100-150.
For couples/engagements, average 100-150.
Don’t worry though, I never leave anything out and will include plenty of photos of everything I capture. You will get anything and everything that meets my standards. I have no “max” amount of photos.

Travel
Do you travel?

Will you travel for any type of session or only weddings?
Absolutely! And I love it! Seeing new places and connecting to nature is my biggest inspiration. I have a van named Dolly that I renovated into a camper and travel in her often! I don’t have set travel fees since every destination is different and can have its own unique set of costs. I only have you pay for roundtrip flights, stay, and a rental car. If a rental car isn’t necessary, I just take Ubers to and from the location and have you reimburse me.
I am also completely open to staying with you or in the same hotel as your guests if this helps save money!
I do prefer to book my own flights and transportation, with your approval. You’re more than welcome to book my stay, especially if it’s in a hotel. Airbnb is a little easier to have me book as well since the host will send me everything I need to know to help prepare for my arrival!
I make sure to get your approval on the price and logistics before booking anything to ensure there are no surprise costs on your end! After everything is purchased, I will invoice you— the due date on this typically being one week.
MISc Questions
Do you ever offer mini sessions?
Do you shoot extended family photos or newborns?
I don’t want to say never, but rarely do I ever offer mini sessions. I would much rather have more intentional one-on-one time with my clients, and doing mini sessions just doesn’t allow for me to have that connection. I am not much of a show up and snap a few photos kind of photographer. I want to get to know you, learn about what makes you unique, and give you photos that truly represent you.
